Inspired by the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola, a team will be accompanying students and staff who set aside time over a week to embark upon a journey into the depths of their hearts, to discover more clearly who they are, to ask for light in decisions and choices that need to be made, and to come to a more truthful understanding of who God is and who they are in his eyes. There will be time for personal spiritual direction and talks on prayer in the evenings each day.
The Retreat begins on Sunday 11 March with some food following Mass, and an introductory talk at 7pm. On the following days there are talks: On Monday from 5-6.30pm, a talk on prayer and ways of praying. On Tuesday a talk on Discernment. On Wednesday a talk on Creating a Rule of Life, and on Friday, the Retreat will conclude with a closing talk and prayer in the Catholic Chapel at 3pm.
