Every Monday at 6.30pm in the Catholic Chapel, there is a weekly Bible Study group.
Lectio Divina is the ancient art of pondering the Word of God. There is a Resurrection account in the Gospel which tells of two disciples leaving Jerusalem disconsolate. Their hopes of Jesus being the Messiah seemed to have been dashed by his crucifixion, and in the days afterwards they find themselves walking away from the City. On their journey, they encountered the Risen Christ, though they did not recognise Him. But little by little, He explained the passages of Scripture that were about Him, transforming them in the process. We need the Word of God to transform our doubts, fears, our experiences of the cross, and we need the Word of God as a lamp to our feet, to guide us on the Way. These weekly meetings are a great opportunity for you to share the wonders of God's Most Holy Word with each other and to grow in your faith and friendship with others.
